There is a special scent that always reminds me of Rome, whenever I feel that smell I really miss to be there. When I was 5 years old my parents and I moved to Rome and lived there for 2 years, I started primary school and I have lots of good childhood memories in Rome. Rome is one of my favourite cities in the world, it is so historical and epic. I love walking in streets which smells coffee and delicious food. There are some restaurants which you need to try. For example, Hostaria Isidoro is just 5 minutes away from Colosseo and I suggest you to go around 8 pm to have dinner with locals. It is not a touristic place, you just choose how many plates you are going to eat. Let’s say you choose 6 or 9 plates they will serve you pastas that is decided by chef. They are delicious, whenever I go to Rome I always go to have dinner in Isidoro Restaurant.

Another traditional place is close to Pantheon, called Tazza D’oro meaning Gold Mug. This place is one of the oldest coffee place in Rome and you will taste really good coffee. Italian people drink Cappuccino in the morning, in the rest of the day they prefer espresso or macchiato. And of course you need to have a italian breakfast with cornetto con crema with cappuccino.

Termini is the main train station in Rome, if you take train from airport you will stop in Termini and from Termini you can start walking around the city or take a metro to your hotel. From Termini you can see Piazza Repubblica and go to Via Nazionale, this street is full of local shopping stores. For expensive Italian brands, you need to go Via Condotti and the Spanish Steps.

There is a church called San Pietro in Vincoli, not too many people knows about it. There is the statue of The Moses which is made by Michelangelo. And it is 2.35 meters high, it is made with lots of details one of the best thing to see in Rome. Rome is full of art, paintings and sculptures. Even if you do not go any museum you will be surrounded by art because every building has a its own story.

Fontana di Trevi and Spanish Steps are 5 minutes away from each other. You may need a map in tiny streets in Rome or you can always ask to Romano’s, they will love to help you. There is a traditional legend that if you throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain, they are destined to return to Rome. Don’t forget to throw your coin :). In the other side of Tiber river, for a social night you may like to go to Trastevere neighbourhood where young people are having fun in local restaurants and bars.

For me Italy, especially Rome is a heaven for food and wine. I love all kind of cheese, pizza, pasta and wine that is why Rome is one of the best holiday locations for me. Even if you buy mozzarella cheese from the supermarket it is so fresh. I would like to buy all kinds of cheese and wine that I can. Compare to other countries wine prices are cheaper. If you didn’t taste prosecco before you need to try it, it is sparkling white wine and you can also make some cocktails.

If you like coffee, you can find the best and cheap bialetti moka pots in Rome. Mulino Bianco is the best brand for cookies, biscuits and cakes, you can find it in supermarkets there are lots of flavours, you will love all flavours. If you want to bring some souvenirs from Rome prosecco, cheese and some Mulino Bianco cookies will make your friends happy.

Do not forget to throw a coin to Trevi Fountain so that you can visit this beautiful city again…
